Poor guy! First the post was up on SearchEngineLowdown, then it was gone. Then it showed up on his personal blog. Now it’s gone again. Obviously, he would like it out there, but is facing some difficulties. He didn’t say anything bad in it, judge for yourself:

Why I’ve Resigned from WebSourced

I wanted my readers to be the first to know that I have decided to resign my position at WebSourced, Inc. The five years that I have spent, helping the company grow from a start-up to the world’s largest search marketing company, have been some of the most rewarding, exciting and satisfying of my career.

In writing this letter, I hope to avoid any confusion as to why I decided to resign as VP of Marketing. This decision is not one that comes lightly. It is clear that my vision for the company’s future does not match-up with its current course. These philosophical differences have led me to conclude that WebSourced’s current path does not align with my own beliefs.

Let’s see… First Jason Dowdell, and now Andy Beal. It is sad to see.

I don’t believe I’ve ever met either one, but I may have done so briefly at various conferences. I do know that they both enjoy strong reputations, both for the quality of their work and for their characters, and both are well respected by their peers.

It appears that both had a difference of opinion with the rest of WebSourced management as to the future direction of the company. The net result of their departures is a loss for WebSourced. You can’t lose good talent from a company that easily, or quickly, without feeling it.

Anyhow, what is it like to work at WebSourced that drove these two talented individuals out the door?

I almost want to ask them what’s so toxic over there that made them both leave so quickly? Is there a huge bottle of RAID sitting at the entrance spraying people as they walk in to work, trying to kill off their talent? Did they refuse to drink the Kool-Aid?

I’m happy to announce that the FCIP’s first of 6 projects for the year has almost been completed, and is now live. I think there are a few last details to tidy up, but take a look, and let me know what you think.

The FCIP Group is composed of a diverse group of business professionals who donate their time and resources to a variety of non-profit charitable programs, and initiatives in the spirit of community. We accept applications from organizations in need on an ongoing basis, but make all project decisions for the calendar year in November. We are focused on offering organizations the best possible Internet presence as a tool to communicate with their stakeholders - the people who depend on their services.

This first project completed is FIDS.bc.ca - The Federation for Invisible Disabilities. It was put together by the design firm Catapult. It’s their first project for FCIP, and I think they did a great job.
