Everyone knows that blogs are a powerful and rapidly growing form of content online. However, none of the big three - Yahoo, Google, or MSN, have introduced blog specific search tools. Today, CNET is reporting that Yahoo is testing a blog search tool in Korea.

A blog search tool could be rolled out by Yahoo, Google or MSN as simply as having an ‘images’ tab in their interface.

IceRocket / Blogscour went the opposite way. They started off with all the tabs, now it looks like the majors will start following suit.

Of course, when the Big 3, (if you’re a Habs fan, you’ll like that), take to the ice with competent blog search tools, it’s going to dramaticaly affect companies like Technorati and IceRocket.

Blogs are likely to continue to grow in popularity and be the most important means by which most new content is published online. They are easy to use, intuitive, and offer tremendous benefits, such as RSS.
