What Google Knows About CNET

Yesterday, there was an article in CNET about Google looking for new chefs. I didn’t read it right away, but today, I read it quickly. I saw a note at the bottom which read:

“(Google representatives have instituted a policy of not talking with CNET News.com reporters until July 2006 in response to privacy issues raised by a previous story.)”

The previous story appeared on July 14, discussed Google’s privacy policy, and published information gathered on Google’s CEO, from Google’s own search engine. Today’s article starts off showing that you can discover a lot about him, just by “Googling” him. The article then mentions some of the details about him that the author discovered.

While I really did not care to know any of the published information, the article was very good, as it showed how effective Google was at warehousing, and publishing any information it can reach on the Internet. The article was all about privacy policy.
