There’s been some interesting events in the search engine world again today. Google’s latest release, AOL’s IM updates, Yahoo and Google considering acquiring a content provider from Europe, etc… The list goes on.

But oddly enough, I didn’t find myself having much of any opinion on any of it. I did listen to The Who Live in Boston DVD (didn’t watch, just listened) though, and I enjoyed it, I think that the versions of Who Are You and WGFA at Live 8 blew these ones away. Perhaps it’s easier to give it your all for 2 songs / 20 minutes (or 4 as at the Concert for NYC) than for 2 hours worth - but then why didn’t more bands step up to the same level?

Anyhow, back to search engines. Had my head down in patent related stuff all day, as well as planning for a new version of our offerings, built on an update to our existing platform. The existing technologies we built have their earliest iterations in 1999 / 2000. Microsoft recognized us as the world leader the the technology of Search Engine Optimization in May of 2002. Our newest updates will blow everything we’ve already done away. (no hyperbole here, btw).
