Canadian Thanksgiving Weekend

Just a quick note to note that this is a holiday north of the 49th. Canada celebrates Thanksgiving today so on behalf of all my colleagues here at Metamend, I wanted to take a few minutes to say some thanks.

First of all, an obvious thanks to our clients. Like all successful Search Marketing shops, we think we have the best clients in the world. They provide us with extremely interesting projects and give us the opportunity to problem-solve on a global scale.

Thanks to our colleagues at other SEO and SEM shops. One of the most delightful aspects to working in the search marketing sector is the openness and friendliness between search marketers. It often feels like we are a big family, even if we are sometimes in competition with each other.

Thanks to the search marketing media. As a member of it, I know how hard everyone else in it works to bring information, technique and clarity to the rest of the industry. I thank my personal stars every day for my own inclusion in this group.

A very special thank to the staff and management at Metamend. This is one of those circular things where I am speaking on behalf of everyone else but I feel confident doing so. Being around dedicated and highly intelligent people all day can make one take that dedicated intelligence for granted sometimes. We are a tight team that works hard for each other and our community. As proven time and time again, we are a great team. — quick warning for other Victoria tech firms… Metamend has resurrected its floor hockey team. (note to self, research to see if there is there a special Thanksgiving notation for hockey. If there isn’t, there should be)

Most of all, thanks to those who read these or any other search marketing blogger’s words. The growth of this industry comes from all of us and that is something all of us have to be eminently thankful for.
