Metamend SEO specialist Colin Cochrane admitted to swiping Google’s algorithm from Matt Cutts during a SMX Advanced after-party on his blog today.

“In a feat of incredible cunning, Colin Cochrane stole the Google Algorithm from Matt Cutts, the popular Googler who recently was promoted to moral compass at the search giant. The following pictures show the daring feat as it happened at the SEOmoz party following SMX Advanced in Seattle this week.” - colincochrane.com

Colin says he is not sure what he is going to do with the Google algorithm now that he has it. I figured it would end up on eBay but he seems to have become a collector. Earlier in the night, Colin somehow arranged to receive the Microsoft Live algo. So now Colin has two algorithms.

He is now after the Yahoo! algorithm and was last seen booking a flight to Sunnyvale. He’s not heading to Oakland or New Jersey though. He figures the Ask algo will simply find him.
