Viacom / Google Privacy Update

It appears that both Google and Viacom understand the negative privacy and public relations issues surrounding a NY Federal judge’s order for Google to hand over approximately 12-terabytes of YouTube search and download data to Viacom.

Viacom can apparently live without specific user information and Google has requested the right to redact usernames and IP addresses from the data it sends to Viacom.
