Brin’s Blog?

Google co-founder Sergey Brin might have opened a personal blog at too.blogspot.com/.

The “too” blog was first reported in TechCrunch and noted in CNET News and Search Engine Land. At the time of this post there is no confirmation from Brin or from Google that he is in fact the actual author.

If the blog is authentic Brin choose to use his second post to disclose a deeply personal fact. Through his wife’s company 23andMe, Brin has discovered he carries a gene mutation that might predispose him to Parkinson’s Disease. The post, which is timestamped 12:01PM, ends noting how knowing now allows him to adjust his lifestyle to hopefully alleviate the worst effects of the disease or avoid it altogether. With respect to the subject and the author, it also reads like an endorsement for 23andMe. There is no link to 23andMe in the post though 2 links near the bottom lead to the Michael J. Fox Foundation and The Parkinson’s Institute.

Brin’s first post, timestamped 12:00PM, explained the meaning to the Blog’s name, “too”.

AdWords Wants To Hear Your Story

Posted by Mark Johnstone @ 12:53 pm

Every few days in the Google AdWords My Client Center I am notified by alerts with changes to the delivery of service, system outage notifications, and additional features they have implemented. Today I received an unusual one with Google asking to hear “my story” about a successful event due to AdWords. The alert states:

Wanted: Your AdWords success story
Has AdWords changed your business, or your life? Do you have a great AdWords story you’d like to share with us? One we might even share with the press?
Tell Us Your Story!”

I do have to say that being a PPC Client Manager, AdWords “has changed my life”.
