Installation instructions for Metamend FrontPage Add-in

This add-in will automatically ensure that when you update your webpage using Microsoft FrontPage, you do not overwrite the metatags and search engine markers provided by your Metamend service.

You must be a Metamend Client to use this add-in. If you are not registered, you will be prompted to do so. The Add-In will not function without being a Metamend Client. The Free Trial period will be credited to your account upon sign-up as a FrontPage User.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS:

    1) unzip FPMeta.zip using winzip to a temp directory

    2) Run Setup.exe and follow the instructions given

    3) To use the Metamend Add-in simply open up FrontPage. A new option "Metamend" should appear in your menu bar. If it is there Installation was a success!! If your "Metamend" option is not there see Troubleshooting for a few simple steps to get your add-in working.

TROUBLESHOOTING INSTALLATION

    1) Click "tools" on your menu bar. Then click add-ins. You should see "Metamend Frontpage Add-in" as one of your options. Click the check box and then click "OK". You should now see a "Metamend" option on your menu bar. Now you're Metamend Add-in is installed correctly. If you do not see "Metamend FrontPage Add-in" at all proceed to step 3.

    2) If step one is not successful then you may have to change your add-in directory. Here's how you do that:

    2a) Click "Tools" and then "Add-ins" on your menu bar. A window should open, Click the "Add" button in the window and select your office add-in directory. (ie. C:\\Program Files\\Microsoft Office\\Office\\Addins) This should allow you to click your Metamend add-in.

    3) If you cannot see the "Metamend FrontPage Add-in" in your Add-ins window then follow step 2a and when you open your Addins directory ( ie. C:\\Program Files\\Microsoft Office\\Office\\Addins) click on the file "FPMetamend.dll". This will activate your "Metamend" menu option.

    3a) If "FPMetamend.dll" is not in your add-in directory (ie. C:\\Program Files\\Microsoft Office\\Office\\Addins) you may be in the wrong directory or need to reinstall.
