VICTORIA COMPANY INVITED TO JOIN TEAM CANADA TRADE MISSION

Victoria, BC: Metamend Software and Design Ltd. of Victoria has been invited to participate as a member of the Team Canada Trade Delegation to the U.S. next month. The Team Canada West trade mission will be led by Prime Minister Jean Chretien, joined by the Western Provincial Premiers and Territorial Leaders and, includes a cross-section of Canadian industry and business leaders. The delegation will visit Dallas and Los Angeles, November 27th to 30th, 2001.
Metamend, a Search Engine Technology Company is rapidly gaining global recognition for successfully developing and marketing products that drive qualified customers to business web sites, reliably, economically and automatically.
The Company received the invitation in a letter from International Trade Minister Pierre Pettigrew late last week. Two-way trade between Canada and the U.S. Southwest amounted to C $67 Billion in 2000, greater than the entire trading relationship with the European Union. Participation in Team Canada West creates opportunities to network with American contacts and increase prospects for bilateral business cooperation in Canada's most important export market.
The list of Metamend's most recent accomplishments is impressive. Despite world events the past few months, Metamend's business has increased over 30% and the company has signed significant contracts with world leaders in the software industry.
In September, a contract was signed with San Diego based Miva Corporation to recommend and promote Metamend's Search Engine Optimization products to their entire client base. Miva Corporation is the world's leading supplier of e-commerce software and services to small and medium-sized businesses. In October a joint marketing deal was also finalized with software giant Multiactive Corporation, the makers of "Maximizer" and other top level e-commerce software.
