Entireweb Search Engine Optimization AdviceThe search engine Entireweb is owned and operated by Worldlight.com, which also operates the metasearch engine windseek.com. Worldlight is based in Sweden. Entireweb was founded back in May of 2000 as a test platform for a new search technology developed by WorldLight.com AB during the fall of 1999.
Entireweb quickly became a highly popular search engine, originally in Sweden, and then across Europe. With this popularity and demand, Worldlight decided to develop a new search technology backbone for their engine. Work on these improvements was undertaken during 2002 and continued throughout 2003. This new technology is what powers the search engine Entireweb today.
Its algorithms make use of textual analysis, web page popularity, and other data to provide search results, which are ordered based on a variety of factors including page title, page content, meta description, link-frequency, and more.
The search engine currently operates in over 30 languages, and can search from a specific continent, on a specific domain, or a combination of them variables.
The Entireweb bot and algorithms ignore common words and characters such as "where" and "how", as well as certain single digits and single letters, because they tend to slow down your search without improving the results. Entireweb indicates if a common word has been excluded by displaying details on the results page below the search box.
Entireweb searches are NOT case sensitive. All letters, regardless of how you type them, will be understood as lower case. For example, searches for "george washington", "George Washington", and "gEoRgE wAsHiNgToN" will all return the same results.
